Shirley & Vincent // Bendooley Estate Wedding, Southern Highlands

groom reading vows to bride

Shirley and Vincent’s Bendooley Estate wedding could not have been more glorious. After their traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony Shirley made her way out through the homestead doors and out across the sun-soaked lawn with her parents by her side. A very nervous, but excited Vincent waited in the shade of the beautiful old English style gardens.

In many ways, Shirley and Vincent grew up together – moving out of home for the first time and straight to a foreign country together, working and travelling the world while learning how to look after themselves and came out of the experience as a team, and also engaged.

When it comes to personality, Shirley and Vincent are quite different. Shirley is more outgoing, while Vincent is quite reserved. Both were nervous about being in the spotlight, but you wouldn’t know it on the day. They laughed and cried as I told their story and their vows were made with so much emotion that we had to get the tissues out. Always the sign of a good ceremony if you ask me.

Andrea was fantastic in the lead up to the wedding, taking careful time to answer every question we had and ran through the entire process of the ceremony/marriage legalities in every detail, even taking the time out to visit our home for it all. On the day, Andrea was more than self-sufficient and assisted greatly with conducting other vendors, the crowd and engaged with our venue coordinators herself. Her talks during the ceremony were engaging and funny! Could not be happier and would highly recommend to a friend.

In the lead up I appreciate the time taken to explain every detail carefully, even re-enacting the day and visiting our home for the meetings. On the day, our answers to Andrea’s questionnaire about our lives were so well put together and made to be humorous, serious where need be and engaging for the crowd as well. Andrea conducted the crowd well on the day leading up to the ceremony and was more than self-sufficient allowing me to not worry about a thing on the day.
