Jeff and Scott’s wedding at Pier One Sydney Harbour Autograph Collection was one of the most emotional and joyous celebrations of love I have ever been part of. Despite both being quite shy, Jeff and Scott knew their love deserved to be celebrated and wanted to show all the friends and family members who had been so supportive of them and their relationship a damn good time.
The ceremony kicked off with Jeff and Scott entering simultaneously from opposite sides each with both of their parents, meeting in the middle with a beautiful exchange of hugs and handshakes. But this was not to be their parents’ only moment. After I welcomed everyone we got them up standing again so that I could formally thank them on Jeff and Scott’s behalf for all they had done for them, how they had raised them, the values they had instilled in them and of course for their continued support. If anyone still had dry eyes before this, they didn’t any more.
Before they said “I do” I told the story of how Jeff and Scott met at work (laughter), how Scott gave Jeff the courage to completely turn his life upside down in pursuit of what he knew to be right (tears), the proposal story involving fake flowers and a lot of pigeon poo (laughter) and the significance of them even being allowed to marry (more tears).
Jeff and Scott then exchanged their personal vows before being declared “Husband and Husband” and beginning the next chapter of their forever together.
Andrea you exceeded all our expectations! You were absolutely amazing. From our very first meeting you made us feel relaxed and completely in the moment. Thank you so much for making the day what it was, it was everything we hoped for and we were so happy you were standing by our side the whole way through. We felt very lucky that you were with us on our special day. Thank you J & S xx
