Tessa & Lee’s Perfect Autumn Wedding // Bendooley Estate, Southern Highlands

Bride and Groom getting married in a garden

Every so often the combination of setting, suppliers, time of year, weather, the couple and their guests comes together to make something truly magic. Tessa and Lee’s wedding day was one of those days.

Autumn at Bendooley Estate is pretty special. It’s not too hot and not too cold and all the leaves on the trees turn every shade of yellow, orange and red imaginable. Add to that, a couple who know themselves and what they want well enough to create a wedding day that worked for them, and that they actually got to enjoy.

Tessa and Lee knew they wanted to celebrate with family and friends, but they also wanted to keep some parts of their day more private and personal. Their wedding vows were one of these things. Often when a couple don’t feel comfortable reading vows in front of their guests, they do away with them altogether and that’s such a shame. Instead, Tessa and Lee still wrote their personal vows, but shared them while doing their couple portraits after the ceremony. This way, they were able to fully immerse themselves in the moment without worrying about how they were being perceived by their guests, but with the moment still captured on film for prosperity.

Tessa and Lee really did their research and chose a seriously impressive team of suppliers to make their wedding day dreams into a reality. I cannot fault a single aspect of their day. I highly recommend every vendor involved.
