Estelle and Ashley met on opposite sides of the bar. Estelle – new to Australia – was working behind it and Ashley was drinking at it.
From the moment Ashely met “the new French girl” he was intrigued. He found her to be very much like a French film – quirky, interesting, exotic, beautiful, highly intelligent, and brutally honest, interspersed with bouts of utter confusion. He was both mesmerised and challenged. Despite his best efforts he found himself quickly falling in love.
Meanwhile, Estelle had started to look forward to the shifts when the Matt Damon looking guy would come in for a beer after work. When they talked she felt instantly at ease. She was far from home, but Ashley felt familiar to her.
Estelle and Ashley were married in the gorgeous dappled sunlight of the Paperbark Grove in Sydney’s Centennial Park. Celebrations continued on the spectacular rooftop of the Holiday Inn Old Sydney with killer views of the city to impress their French (and Aussie) guests.
Très chic!
