Eliza & Dillon’s Blue Mountains Rooftop Wedding

For Dillon it was love at first sight. For Eliza it took a little more convincing.

Fortunately for them both, Dillon was very persistent and four years later he was proposing to Eliza with a ring and a box of mangoes (a favourite of Eliza’s).

That was 11 years ago. To say it was a long engagement is an understatement, but they had a good excuse. They were very busy having two gorgeous sons, starting their own businesses and moving to the Blue Mountains.

When they did finally get around to getting married, they chose the rooftop of the Katoomba Brewing Company, looking out across the beautiful Blue Mountains, to do so. It was the first time this venue was used for a wedding, but I’m sure not the last. It was stunning.

The ceremony was beautiful and personal too. The highlight was their sons Oscar and Hunter each doing a reading. Adorable!

In the lead up to the ceremony, little Hunter had warned his parents that when it came time for the first kiss he was going to push his dad out of the way and be the first to kiss his mum instead. As you can see from the photos, the boys did their best to steal the first kiss from their dad, but had to make do with a family hug instead. Screen Shot 2017-03-10 at 1.53.47 pm
