WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY
Our expectations were exceeded in every way. From the initial communications and consultations, through all of the paperwork and detailed planning and on the lead up and day of the wedding everything ran to perfection.
We honestly could not have imagined our ceremony any better than what you have helped us put together and led us through. We’d be lost without your help and wouldn’t know where to have started. You allowed us to perfectly tailor the ceremony to our needs and wishes and even guided our decisions and choices. Also a very good listener as I don’t believe you missed one detail which we mentioned.
The entire process was very professionally handled and made us feel really comfortable that we’re in such capable hands. You were the perfect match for our needs and the event we put together. A lot of this came down to personalities matching nicely, but also your professionalism, organization and preparation.
Thank you Andrea!
You were incredibly warm and professional through the whole process. You provided us with plenty of information on the different components of a ceremony and handled the legal requirements seamlessly. You made the whole process very simple which helped us to feel confident in our ceremony plan.
We especially loved how you pulled our individual stories together to paint a picture of our relationship. The tone reflected us perfectly with a lovely balance of humour and sincerity, making our intimate ceremony feel even more personal. We can’t thank you enough for your contribution to our day.
Andrea listened to our wishes and executed them so beautifully. The words she used and the way she presented our story was perfect! Nearly every guest at our wedding complimented the ceremony for its uniqueness and personalised nature. I cannot imagine a better ceremony for Marc and me. It truly represented who we are and our relationship together.
Andrea embraced the location of our wedding and was happy to travel for it. She was excited about our theme and had an excited attitude towards the outdoor nature of the ceremony which really put Marc and I at ease!
Andrea was kind enough to meet up with Marc and I several times before the ceremony. This really allowed us to fully understand every aspect of the ceremony clearly before the day. She also put up with our indecisive nature and slow nature by allowing us as much time as we needed to make changes to our ceremony!
Andrea truly is in the correct industry!
WELL HELLO THERE
Your big day isn’t about me – it’s about you! But I get why you’d like to know a little about the person whose job it is to officiate things on such an important day.
I hadn’t realised it at the time, but since getting married, and being part of the weddings of family and friends, I had become interested in the idea of ceremony and celebration. I was so inspired by the different ways each couple expressed their sentiments – how the setting, music, words and rituals they chose always reflected their personalities.
It was at my sister’s wedding rehearsal that I had my light-bulb moment. As the celebrant told us where to stand, answered our questions and generally tried to harness the excitement of the group of family and friends smiling and laughing around her, I decided this was something I wanted to do.
LOVE IS LOVE
Hooray! We did it. We finally have equality!
Seeing all different kinds of people from all walks of life experience what it means to get married is the best part of my job and now everyone gets to experience the solidarity, security and celebration of this type of union regardless of who they happen to love.
This year I will be very happily marrying couples who I was previously only able to perform commitment ceremonies for.
I will also be marrying whoever the hell else wants to get married. I really don't care whether you're a husband/husband, wife/wife, husband/wife or wife/husband combination.
I just want to marry you!
